I In the Founders’ Roundabout, Celaya honors its roots and identity through a sculptural group designed by architect Ricardo Motilla. At the center, the majestic platinum-plated bronze figure of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, patron saint of the city, stands mounted on a mesquite tree, as it appears on the coat of arms of Celaya.

At her feet, sculptures of Celaya’s founders pay tribute to those who gave birth to our city.
